Got there in the end!
After being told some months ago it would take weeks for our in home display to sync up to the new smart gas meter (where syncing with the electric meter was instant) I finally lost patience and rang to complain when it still hadn't worked. Thankfully, Alindile from Team 2F knew exactly what to do and the in home display was working within minutes. Full marks to Alindile herself for fixing the problem, but EDF have to lose a star for giving me duff information to begin with, which Alindile did acknowledge. Otherwise I'm now satisfied :)
