They did not punish a genuine mistake
Even though I thought I had paid and booked I had not completed the transaction. Ace emailed me on a Friday afternoon to ask if I wanted to complete the booking giving me 24 hours to do so. I did not see it until Saturday and I assumed they were closed until Monday. When I called on Monday morning they said the deadline to book had elapsed and the 20% discount was no longer available. After explaining what happened they agreed to honour the price on my original booking
